Toshakhana case: Court orders to return seized properties of Nawaz Sharif
An Accountability Court in Islamabad revoked the confiscation order of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s property and ordered to return of the property and assets in the Toshakhana reference case.
The court has ordered to return more than 1650 kanals of agricultural land, Mercedes and Land Cruiser vehicles to Nawaz Sharif in Lahore, while an order has also been issued to restore the frozen bank accounts of the former prime minister.
Islamabad Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Basheer declared former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as a proclaimed offender in 2020 in the Toshakhana reference and also issued orders to confiscate the assets of the former Prime Minister.
In November this year, Nawaz Sharif returned home and surrendered himself before the court, and he was released on bail.
