A collision between a bus and a motorcycle-rickshaw left seven people dead and three injured in Punjab’s Lodhran on Thursday, rescue officials said.

The deceased included men, woman, and children.

Initial reports said that they were going to attend a wedding ceremony.

Interim Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has taken notice of the accident and offered his condolences to the bereaved family.

In a statement, he said that the wounded persons would be provided best medical facilities.

He has sought a report from the Multan Division commissioner and RPO. The caretaker chief minister ordered legal action against the driver responsible for negligence.
