CJP hands over multiple administrative powers to registrar
The powers are mostly related to financial matters of the court
Chief Justice of Pakistan handed over multiple administrative powers to the Sureme Court’s registrar on Thursday.
In an office order issued on Thursday, the SC confirmed that the following powers have been fully delegated to the registrar
- Reappropriation/surrender of funds
- To appoint/designate disbursing officer
- Sign on all budget and financial documents
- Pay allowances of hired and paid contingent staff
- Overtime Allowance
The following powers have been delegated to the registrar subject to approval
- All financial matters including retiring benefits of honourable judges
- Matters related to Public Accounts Committee
- Matters related to Audit and Departmental Accounts Committee
- Approval of annual budgetary plan
- Approval of annual procurement plan/tender
- Honorarium
Additionally two powers also make space for the additional registrar to make decisions where sums upto Rs500,000 are involved.
- Pay allowances of hired and paid contingent staff
- Overtime Allowance
