PCB appoints Tauseef Ahmed as interim chief selector
The Pakistan Cricket Board on Tuesday appointed former off-spinner Tauseef Ahmed as the interim chief selector before the Australia series.
His first task will be to select the team for the upcoming Australia series.
He was given the position in PCB after Inzamamul Haq resigned from the post as reports of his alleged affiliation with a UK-based player agency surfaced.
Ahmed is a member of the existing selection committee, along with Wajahatullah Wasti and Wasim Haider.
Wasti has been appointed the chief selector of the junior team.
Haq resiged from the post almost three months after his appointment for the crucial post.

“Allegations were made that I had a conversation with the [Pakistan cricket] board. Today, I went to the board and asked them to hold an inquiry if they had any doubts,” Haq said in an interview with the Samaa TV programme Zor Ka Jor.
“Later I got a call that they had formed a five-member committee,” he said and added that he subsequently decided to step down from the post until the committee completed the probe and its proceedings.
