Rupee declines for fifth consecutive session of the week
The rupee ended the week with another loss as it shed 48 paisas against the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market on Friday.
The greenback was trading at Rs280.57 at the closing of the market, as against the closing of Rs280.09 the previous day.
The rupee has recorded consecutive losses during the outgoing week as it shed Rs1.77 at the closing of the market on Friday, from the closing of Rs278.8 on Friday, October 20.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Stock Exchange also closed on a positive note as the benchmark KSE-10 Inded shed 241.45 points or 0.47% to reach 50,943.83 levels at the closing of the market.
The KSE-30 Index shed 55.98 points, or 0.32% to reach 17,497.37 levels at the closing of the market on Friday, the last trading session of the week.
