Rupee weakens against dollar in interbank market
The rupee further weakened against the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market on Wednesday.
The greenback was up by 45 paisas to reach Rs279.88 at the closing of the interbank market, as against the closing of Rs279.43 the previous day.
This is the third consecutive loss for the local currency during the ongoing week.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Stock Exchange showed recovery as the KSE-100 Index gained 149.19 points, or 0.29% to reach 51,177.13 levels at the closing of the trading session.
The KSE-30 Index gained 40.59 points or 0.23% to reach 17,537.09 levels as the market closed on Wednesday.
