Rupee declines for second consecutive session of the week
The rupee shed its gains in the interbank foreign exchange market for the second consecutive session of the week on Tuesday.
The dollar gained 31 paisas to reach Rs279.43 at the closing of the interbank, as against the closing of Rs279.12 the previous day.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange also closed on a negative note after opening lower than the previous closing.
The benchmark KSE-100 Index shed 42.88 points, or 0.08% to reach 51,027.94 levels at the closing of the trading session.
Similarly, the KSE-30 Index shed 100.63 points or 0.57% to reach 17,496.5 levels at the time of the closing on Tuesday.
