Chammo of Kabli Pulao described the woman as the strongest character in society but said she has to survive under mental stress because of her family.

Raima Khan who appeared as Chammo in the drama serial Kabli pulao, her character was determined with an oppressed woman who was enduring mental torture from her husband and fulfilling his financial demands. She was also criticized for the role, she shared, that people were saying that women can never be weak.

She said that there were many Chammu in our society who could raise their voice but they continue to suffer because of their family and society.

Raima also talked about workplace politics, she said that just like other fields and workplaces drama industry also has politics.

Regarding working with Saqib Sameer, she said that as much as Saqib was a good actor, he was also a much better person, while regarding senior actor Ehtesham Uddin, she said that the acting of Ehtesham Sir and his personality is perfect. “I have no words to describe him,” she said.

The bitter reality of society must be showcased in the stories of the drama, which can be beneficial for someone to understand how should one handle such matters, she added.

Raima said the culture of early marriages still existed in our society, “we should raise this issue as it brings our society in a negative light.”
