Another 16 illegal refugees arrested in Quetta
With just over a week left before the government’s deadline expires, crackdown against illegal refugees across Pakistan is underway.
Reports said that 16 illegal Afghan refugees were arrested in Quetta on Sunday.
Police sources said that 52 cases have been filed under the Foreign Act in the city so far.
A total of 270 illegal refugees have been arrested in the city so far and have been sent back across the border.
The federal government has fixed October 31 as deadline for illegal refugees to leave the country. Failing to do so will lead to expulsion and confiscation of assets.
