PakvsInd: Babar Azam says ‘Focus is not on what happened in the past’
Pakistan cricket team captain Babar Azam has said that in the most important match in the World Cup tomorrow, the whole stadium will be supporting India but we will try to give a good performance.
Babar Azam, while giving the presser in Ahmedabad, said that the match between Pakistan and India is always challenging, and the toss against India will be very important in tomorrow’s match.
The captain of the green shirts said that the focus is not on what happened in the past but on the present.
Babar Azam shared the team will miss Naseem Shah who bowled impressively in the Asia Cup, but he is confident that Shaheen Afridi is a big-match bowler.
Talking about the Ahmedabad pitch, Babar said that like every city, the conditions are different here, as more time has passed, it helps to know the conditions. We spent a lot of time in Hyderabad, but the conditions of every city are different.
The captain further said that the bowlers have less margin, and he has been asked to control the length. Will make a plan on how to get India’s top order out.
He clarified that fielding should be improved if we want to win the World Cup, we are not under the pressure of a big stadium, and we hope that we will get the same support here as we received in Hyderabad.
It should be noted that Pakistan and India will face each other tomorrow at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
