Police book 90 people for stopping Shehbaz Sharif’s car
Lahore police have registered a case against 90 people for stopping Shehbaz Sharif’s car and raising slogans at him last week.
The case nominated four known and 86 unknown people who had set a protest camp beside the road and blocked Shehbaz’s way as his vehicle approached. Shehbaz was returning after addressing a rally in Lahore.
The protestors had raised slogans and held up the former prime minister’s car for a long time.
News reports had claimed that the protestors had demanded rehabilitation of the Rohi Nullah.
Police said that the FIR registered against the 90 people included section for blocking roads.
