North Nazimabad streets named after former cricketers
Karachi’s North Nazimabad area comprises several streets and roads named after several famous cricketers who have represented Pakistan in the international cricket.
Several streets are named after former cricketers including Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Javed Miandad among others.
A road near the Five Star Chowrangi in North Nazimabad is named after Iqbal Qasim. Walking down the same path, a street is named after former fast bowler and skipper Waqar Younis.
A street board with the name of former captain Wasim Akram is also seen in one of the streets in the area.
Former Pakistan captain Moin Khan and Javed Miandad are also among the cricketers who have streets after their names in the area as a street beside the Asghar Ali Shah Stadium is named after Miandad while a street right in front is named after former fast bowler Taslim Arif.
Additionally, the area also has streets and roads named after former Pakistan players Ramiz Raja and Mohsin Hasan Khan.
