Balochistan’s interim Minister of Information Jan Achakzai said that the government has set a 10-day deadline after which it will start cracking down against oil smuggling.

Addressing a press conference in Quetta, Achakzai said that if oil smuggling does not stop within 10 days, the government will start destroying smuggler boats.

In addition, Achakzai said, security at the provincial border between Balochistan and Punjab will increased and the government will clamp down on supply to Karachi via the Indus Highway.

The minister added that there were 8,500 students enrolled in 84 seminaries in Balochistan which were bein overseen by Afghan citizens. He said that these seminaries will be taken from Afghan control and handed over to Pakistani citizens.

Achakzai added that India was behind the disruption in the province. He said that non-state actors could not manage to do anything without the aid of external powers.

He said that no concessions will be granted to any non-state actors and the prime minister had said that non-state actors will be fought ‘till the day of judgement’.

Achakzai said that all procedures are suspended when dealing with a distrubance.

The federal government has already issued an ultimatum to illegal Afghan refugees to leave the country or face expulsion and seizure of assets.
