The recovery in the value of the rupee continued unabated as it gained Rs1.14 against the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market on Tuesday.

The greenback closed at Rs280.51 at the closing of the market against Rs281.65 in the interbank market the previous day.

In the open market, the dollar was available at Rs280.5.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan equity market opened on a positive note where the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 418.48 points or 0.88% and closed at 48,140.27 levels.

The KSE-30 Index gained 146.06 points or 0.89% and closed at 16,649.58 levels on Tuesday.
