Indian police receives threat email targeting PM Modi, Ahmedabad stadium

Indian police have received an email threatening to blow up Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, reported by Indian media.

The ICC Men’s World Cup has started in India and the Pakistani team has also made a winning start in the tournament by defeating the Netherlands, while the Indian team will play its first match against Australia (tomorrow) on Sunday.

The teams of Pakistan and India will face each other in the World Cup on October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, but before that, the Indian police have received an email threatening to blow up the stadium.

According to Indian media, the email sent by the terrorist group threatened to blow up Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In this regard, the Indian police say that we have received an email sent by the terrorist group from the National Investigation Agency, and have issued an alert to all security agencies including NIA Ahmedabad.

Police said while trying to trace the ID from which the email was sent, it seems that the email came from Europe and that they will review the security of the World Cup matches, if necessary, the security will be increased.

Indian media claims that the police have accused Khalistan Tehreek leader Gurptunt Singh Pannu of threatening attacks in World Cup matches and the police have also registered a case against Gurptunt Singh Pannu, in which it is said that Gurptunt Singh Threatened to attack during World Cup matches.
