Actress Mahira Khan and Salim Karim have tied the knot with each other on Sunday. Mahira is a prominent personality in Pakistan and India and everyone knows her well, but most Pakistanis still don’t know about Salim.

Salim Karim, who fell in love with Mahira two years ago, is a businessman and entrepreneur. He began his tech venture as a payment gateway for Tapmad, and it was reportedly at a Tapmad event that he met the actress.

Karim lives with his family in Karachi and completed his bachelor’s in economics from the University of Western Ontario in 2005.

In 2016, Karim began his own company named SimPaisa, which provides financial assistance to the public in approximately 15 countries.

Before starting his own business he had beeen linked to an Italian company for nine years after which he joined GSK as brand manager.

While most reports say Mahira’s husband does not belong to showbiz, some claim he is a DJ as well.
