Interpol brings proclaimed offender back from Saudi Arabia
Punjab police managed to arrest a man accused of murder from Saudi Arabia with the help of Interpol.
Sagheer Abbas allegedly escaped to Saudi Arabia after being involved in a murder in Mianwali. However, the police kept on his trail and he was eventually declared a proclaimed offender in Pakistan.
Police then had a red notice issued through interpol for him following which he was arrested and brought to Pakistan.
A statement from the police said that Abbas has been handed over to Mianwali police.
The police spokesman added that 118 highly wanted criminals have been brought back from abroad to Pakistan. The criminals were brought from multiple countries including US, UK, UAE and others.
