Dollar falls to Rs288.75 in interbank
The flight in the value of the rupee continued as it gained Rs1.05 against the dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market on Wednesday.
The greenback was trading at Rs288.75 at the closing of trading, as against the closing of Rs289.8 the previous day.
In the open market, the dollar was available at Rs290 on Wednesday.
The open-market rate also saw a similar trend with the rate following Rs290. The buying rate also fell to Rs287.
Meanwhile, lackluster activity was recorded at the Pakistan Stock Exchange where the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 87.39 points, or 0.19% to reach 46,365.04 levels.
The KSE-30 Index gained 20.68 points, or 0.13%, and was trading at 16,172.39 levels on Wednesday.
