In letter to ICC, PCB raises visa delays for Pakistan team
The Pakistan Cricket Board has raised the issue of visa delay for the national cricket team for the 50-over World Cup with the International Cricket Council.
The national squad is due to travel to Dubai from Lahore on Sept 27 before flying to Hyderabad, India, to play two warm-up matches on Sept 29 and on Oct 3.
Kalso added that Pakistan has strong reservations over the visa delay and they have informed the ICC about the whole situation.
“The Pakistan team has to go through this uncertainty ahead of the major tournament,” he said and stated that due to this the national squad had to cancel their training session in Dubai.
The spokesperson elaborated that the national side had to do planning related to the World Cup. Pakistan also had to book tickets.
“But all of these things are conditional to the issuance of visa,” he said.
The PCB applied for visas on September 19, after the return of the squad from the Asia Cup.
