Urdu University closed over threat of student clash
Federal Urdu Univeristy in Karachi had to be closed after hostilites between two student organisations created the possibility of clashes on campus.
A statement from the university naemd Anjuman-e-Tulaba Islam and Imamia Students Organisation as the tow organisations involved and said that the university was shut down as a precautionary measure.
A heavy contingent of police have been posted around the university to maintain law and order.
The Jamiat has organised a rally in Karachi’s colleges and university against rising petrol prices. The rally will proceed from DJ College to Shaheen Complex.
