Outlawed TTP Swat commander killed in security operation
The security forces killed a commander of the outlawed TTP Swat in an intelligence operation in Fizagat area of Swat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The killed terrorist, identified as Nek Mohmmad alias Neko and Umar, was a close ally of the former chief of outlawed TTP Swat Mullah Fazlullah.
The Pak army and the counter-terrorism department jointly carried out the operation after receiving a tip-off.
During the early days of the banned group in Swat, Nek Mohammad was leading the team that would flog women, while he was also involved in multiple terror attacks on security forces in the past.
He fled to Afghanistan along with his family when the forces launched Operation Rah-e-Rast in 2009. Mohammad returned to the country early this year and began target-killing police personnel.
In June, he along with his accomplices brutally murdered two police constables near Mingora Sabzi Mandi. Mohammad also began extorting the residents for the banned TTP.
The killed terrorist hatched a plot to target the DPO of Swat in a suicide attack and was working to disturb the law and order situation in Swat.
