Singer Asim Azhar has revealed who will decide the date of his marriage, adding that he enjoys staying within the culture and norms of a traditional family.

The young singer who rose to fame through Coke Studio was engaged to actor Merub Ali in March 2022, and now fans are impatient to know when they will get married.

In an interview with Maliha Rehman, Asim disclosed that he would not decide his wedding date, as he had awarded this responsibility to his and Merub’s parents.

He added that he loves to pursue the culture, norms and values which allow parents to make decisions for their children, that is why Asim wants his and Merub’s parents to select the date of their wedding with their consultation.

Asim believes that anything that involves parental consent is blessed and everyone will come to know when the date will be announced.

The singer also revealed the secret behind his romantic songs and said that he imagines Merub when he writes them, and sometimes he wishes to write a song for her as well.

Before getting engaged with Merub, Asim was in headlines with actor Hania Amir.

Merub Ali, model-turned-actress and influencer made her acting debut in Sajjad Ali’s music video and has performed in dramas like Sinf-e-Aahan, Paristan and Wabaal.
