A motorcyclist jumped from a bridge in Karachi’s Liaquatbad area when muggers tried to loot him on Friday night.

People present below the bridge rescued him and took him to the hospital. Over the past few months, many incidents of street crimes have been reported in the metropolitan city.

According to police, around 85,000 cases of street crimes were reported in 2022 while 21,544 such cases were reported during the current year till March 31.

At least 34 citizens were killed by muggers over resistance in the metropolis during the first three months, they added.
