Kidnapped minor girl recovered in Peshawar

Three suspects arrested for abducting minor girl from Quetta

A minor girl, who was abducted from Quetta allegedly by her aunt’s family, was recovered in Peshawar, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police said on Friday.

The police have claimed to have arrested the three suspects and informed the Quetta DIG about the recovery of the kidnapped girl. A team of DIG would leave for Peshawar to take the recovered girl and three suspects.

The abducted girl belonged to the Qaiser Colony of Pashtoonabad in Quetta. She was kidnapped by her maternal aunt’s mother and two daughters from Afghanistan on August 26, according to the first information report registered at the Smart Women Police station.

The complaint was registered under sections 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and 364A (Kidnapping or abducting a person under the age of fourteen) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

The FIR was registered on the complaint of the victim’s mother Sajida. She claimed that the three accused had arrived in Quetta to take the children of her sister whose husband a year ago. Sajida’s younger sister, Hafeez, moved to Pakistan after her husband’s death.

She claimed that her daughter was kidnapped from the area where they live after her father-in-law refused to be involved in the matter. The three accused had sought his help to take back Hafeez’s son.
