Details about Bakhar Goth honour killing revealed
Investigations into the alleged honour killing in Karachi’s Bakhar Goth on Thursday have revealed that the boy was shot eight times while the girl was shot four times.
It has been revealed that the boy, Hassan, and the girl, Laraib, were classmates. A case for the murder has been filed by the boy’s brother in Police Station Sachal.
A statement from the boy’s brother has revealed that Hassan was at home until 3 am meeting some friends. By 4:30 am both brothers went to sleep.
However, the brother awoke to a phone call that Hassan was dead. He found out that the their white Toyota Vigo was not at home. The guard revealed that Hassan had left home around 5:20 am.
He reached Abbasi Shaheed Hospital to find Laraib and Hassan dead.
Police officials say that Hassan came to Laraib’s house early in the morning. Dr Rafique Ahmad Sheikh, who is the father of the girl, fired at them using his son’s pistol. The boy was shot eight times while the girl was shot four times.
The incident happened a short distance away from the girl’s house.
Hassan’s father owns a garment factory, police sources said.
