The police have claimed to have arrested a suspect accused of harassing women in Karachi’s Ittehad Town, an area predominated by middle-class people of society.

The suspect was named Faizan who is a private security guard, according to the police. He is a resident of Saddam Chowk, Ittehad Town.

This is the fourth such incident reported over the last two months in Karachi as experts call for the safety of women and better education among the people.

Officials alleged that suspects used to harass school teachers. The suspect was arrested with the help of CCTV footage which shows the suspect who was on a bike harassing women walking in a street.

The police have also claimed to have recovered a revolver from the suspect’s possession. It merits here to mention that the police came to action after the video of the case went viral on social media.

On August 1, a motorcyclist molested a girl in Karachi’s Federal B Area. The CCTV footage showed the predator harassing the woman as she passes through a street in Block 17 of FB Area in the jurisdiction of Samanabad police station.
