Anwarul Haq Kakar-led government mulls over interim cabinet

Sources say journalists likely to be included in interim setup

The caretaker government has begun mulling over the caretaker cabinet where some senior journalists are also under consideration for the information ministry, sources said.

Two former governors of the State Bank of Pakistan, two former IGs of police along with several former federal ministers’ names are also under deliberations.

Interim PM Anwaarul Haq Kakar was sworn in on August 14 as the eighth caretaker prime minister of Pakistan following the dissolution of the National Assembly.

The names of Jalil Abbas Jilani, Hafeez Sheikh, Shamshad Akhtar, Raza Baqir, Faisal Vawda, Khurram Hameed Rokhari, Mushtaq Sukhaira, Shoaib Suddal and Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali are being discussed for several ministries in interim setup.

Gohar Ejaz, Sarfaraz Bugti, Ashtar Ausaf, Zulfiqar Cheema, Ahmed Cheema, Muhammad Ali Durrani, Ahsan Bhoon, Jugnu Mohsin, Ayesha Raza Farooque are also under consideration.
