Hareem Shah wishes to become Pakistan’s foreign minister
As Pakistan braces for the rule of a caretaker setup in the Centre, social media influencer Hareem Shah has proposed her name for the slot of foreign minister in the interim cabinet.
The TikToker revealed her wish through X, formerly known as Twitter, claiming that she will bring the foreign exchange reserves of the country to $100 billion from $8 billion within six months.
“I will bring the forex reserves to $100 billion from $8 billion if I am appointed foreign minister for just six months,” she wrote in her post. The post also included a picture of the TikToker, where flags of several countries can be seen in the background.

Hareem’s statement came amidst the transition of a government to the interim setup in the country where Senator Anwaarul Haq Kakar was nominated for the caretaker prime minister Saturday.
He is expected to take oath on August 14, following which an interim cabinet will be formed to run day-to-day affairs till the elections are held and a new government take charge in the centre.
In 2019, Hareem took Twitter by storm after filming a video in the foreign office and took pictures while sitting in one of the conference rooms of the FO.
