Sindh Assembly stands dissolved after Governor signs the summary
Sindh Assembly has been dissolved after Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori signed the summary forwarded by outgoing Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Friday.
Earlier, Shah signed the summary of the dissolution of the Sindh Assembly and left for the Governor House with the summary.
He met Tessori and presented the dissolution summary to Governor Sindh, who signed the document bringing an end to PPP’s government in Sindh.
The leader of the house in the provincial assembly and the leader of the opposition are now expected to hold consultation regarding the caretaker setup in the province.

Speaking during the farewell session of the provincial assembly, Sindh’s CM said that he will request the dissolution of the assembly today (Friday) to the governor of Sindh.
He criticised the former federal government of PTI saying that the Sindh assembly and the provincial government were prevented from functioning, while the speaker of the assembly was put behind bars.
The Sindh assembly is a history-making assembly, record legislations and works have been done in the house, he added.
It is pertinent to mention that President Arif Alvi approved the summary for dissolving the National Assembly at midnight on August 9 at outgoing Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s advice, marking an end to the current government’s tenure.
