EU envoy joins musicians in latest rendition of Pakistan’s national anthem
On the occasion of Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day, European Union Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Riina Kionka joined fellow musicians in a special tribute. Together, they presented a rendition of Pakistan’s national anthem.
In the video, different musicians from Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Punjab, and Islamabad skillfully play various musical instruments. EU Ambassador Kionka is seen playing the trumpet alongside them.
The European Union took X, previously known as Twitter, to congratulate Pakistan on its 76th Independence Day. “This rendition is a celebration of the rich cultural diversity of Pakistan and the power of #UnityinDiversity,” it wrote in the social media post.
Users of X, formerly known as Twitter, took to the platform to appreciate this gesture and told Pakistanis to thank the EU envoy.
On the other hand, some users criticised the gesture and told people to focus on democracy.
Last year, Kionka also paid tribute to Pakistan on its 75th Anniversary by playing Pakistan’s National Anthem on the trumpet.
