The weather in Islamabad turned pleasant on Thrusday after a sudden burst of rain.

However, the rain soon turned intense and the city was briefly caught up in a windstorm that caused trees to sway.

Similar scenes were witnessed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where gentle drizzle turned into heavy rainfall and eventually a thunderstorm.

The Met Office has predicted rains to continue in Islamabad over the next 24 hours.
