Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is expected to announce his return to Pakistan in a press conference soon.

Sources told Aaj News that the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz chief will fly to London from Dubai within the next 48 hours. He is expected to address a press conference in London where he will announce a return to Pakistan.

The sources added that Nawaz has chosen to land in Lahore upon his return.

The party has reportedly prepared lists of politicans from other parties who are ready to join the PMLN. Their inclusion will be announced on Nawaz’s return.

The PMLN will field upto 30% fresh candidates in the upcoming general election.

Nawaz has been in exile since 2019 after facing a multitude of court cases and a lifelong disqualification from court.

In his absence, the PDM government has managed to push through amendments that have ended his disqualification paving the way for his return to politics.
