Faisalabad police raids girls hostel, detains students
SHO suspended from work after senior officials order an inquiry
A station house officer in Faisalabad was suspended for raiding a girls’ hostel and keeping the women locked up.
The raid was conducted in the dead of night and a video clip shows female students being held at a lockup in the police station.
The SHO in charge of Gulberg station led the raid at the girls’ hostel two days ago in the city.
After the raid was reported by local journalists, senior police officials took notice.
The CPO suspended the SHO. An inquiry has also been ordered under the SSP operations.
