SC summons Imran Khan in lawyer murder case
The Supreme Court of Pakistan has summoned Imran Khan in the Quetta lawyer murder case on Monday.
Imran Khan has been asked to appear in person before the court on 10 am.
Supreme Court lawyer Abdul Razzaq Shar was murdered on June 6 near Alamo chowk on Airport road in Quetta. He was involved in a treason case filed against Imran Khan.
Two days after the killing, Shar’s son had filed a case nominating Imran Khan as the main suspect.
PML-N’s Atta Tarrar had also blamed Imran Khan for the killing and had said that it sent a ‘message’ to all lawyers pursuing cases against the former prime minister.
Warrants for Imran Khan have already been issued in Quetta.
For its part, the PTI has maintained that it was another attempt to implicate Imran Khan in a fake case.
