As per the party manifesto, the IPP aims to introduce agricultural reforms to facilitate farmers across the country.

The IPP vows to provide a free electricity supply to tube wells for farmers with land holdings of up to 12.5 acres while providing free electricity up to 300 units to the citizens.

The party aims to provide interest-free easy loans and employment opportunities to youth and women along with the introduction of free transport facilities for them.

The IPP also pledged to work on other fronts including the integration of Madrasahs into the national mainstream, foreign scholarships for Pakistani students and promotion of local tourism.

A day earlier, IPP filed an application at the Election Commission of Pakistan for the party’s registration and sought ‘Eagle [Shaheen]’ election symbol. The party leaders on several occasions vowed to not form an electoral alliance with any party in the upcoming elections.

As the leaders of the PTI began leaving the party after the May 9 riots, Jahangir Khan Tareen was reported to have been in discussion to launch his own party.

As expected, he formally launched ’Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party on June 8.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore flanked by former PTI leaders Aleem Khan and Imran Ismail, Khan said that after consultation with like-minded politicians, they decided to launch their own party to put Pakistan on the path of development.
