Women allegedly raped in Islamabad’s hiking trail
A woman has filed a complaint with Islamabad police saying she was raped at gun point in Islamabad’s hiking trail.
The woman, who is a resident of Sheikhupura, was lured to Islamabad with the promise of a job by a man named Noman.
Noman made contact with the woman on the phone and even took Rs80,000 from her to find her a job. The woman said that Rs20,000 were to be paidwhen the job was finally landed.
Once she arrived in Islamabad, she was told that a meeting would be arranged at her new office so she could get acquainted. She alleged that Noman picked her up on a motorcycle from Tench bus stop in Rawalpindi and took her hiking trail-3 in the Margalla Hills where he raped her on gunpoint.
He also threatened to shoot the woman if she screamed. He then dropped her back at the same bus stop in Rawalpindi.
The case has been filed in the Kohsar Police station and police have begun investigations. The woman has also appealed for a medical examination to confirm her allegations.
