“Yoooooo 1st august gang unite - wanna adopt me?” said one of the users on Twitter after reading that a family of nine from Larkana, Sindh has set a world record for sharing the same birthday.

According to Guinness, the Mangi family of nine consists of the father, Ameer Ali; the mother, Khudeja; and seven children aged 19-30: Sindhoo, female twins Sasui and Sapna, Aamir, Ambar, and male twins Ammar and Ahmar.

They all coincidentally share the same birthday on August 1, making it a world record for the most family members born on the same day.

The date is also more special for the couple, Ameer and Khudeja, as it’s also their wedding anniversary.

The same birthday was not just the only record the family broke. Most siblings born on the same day are another feather in the cap for them. The record was previously held by five children from the Cummins family (US), who were all born on February 20 between 1952 and 1966.

The birth of the first child was a moment of “delight” for Ameer, but he was also “surprised” because of the same birthday. But they did not know that such an expression would continue six more times.

They described each successive birth that occurred on the same date as a “gift from God.”

The report said that all the children were conceived and born naturally.

“It was all natural; from Allah,” Ameer said.

The couple has two sets of twins, which is quite rare. Their twin boys, Ammar and Ahmar, were born in 2003, five years after twin girls Sasui and Sapna were born.

“Earlier we used to celebrate our birthdays in a simple manner, but now we do it a lot more and with a lot of happiness,” said Sasui.

Ameer felt “much obliged to God on bestowing this world record” after his family was awarded their Guinness World Records title.

Having such a unique quality has “proven to be very lucky” for his family.
