An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad extended Imran Khan’s bail in six cases till July 19.

Imran Khan’s lawyer Salman Safdar told the court that the police was the the complainant, witness as well as investigator so only the court could provide his client justice.

Safdar also told the court that Imran Khan had become part of the investigation on Sunday.

The court asked for a progress on investigation of cases against the PTI chairman. Safdar replied that Imran Khan had been accused of blocking roads by burning tires and investgation had been completed in all cases.

However, the judge stopped Safdar’s arguments mid-way and said he would like to listen to the prosecution first. The prosecutor said that the police was pushing for arrest in all three cases.

The judge remarked that he was ‘a clear man’ and would ‘not tolerate’ any injustice. He added that he would act against the police if needed as well.

Imran Khan’s lawyer asked for his bail to be extended till July 19. The judge initially asked for all documents to be submitted before extending the bail.
