SBP’s foreign reserves stand at $4b after increasing by $533m
Total liquid foreign exchange reserves held by the country stood at $9.34 billion
The State Bank of Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves stood at $4.069 billion after increasing by $533 million during the week ending June 23, the central bank said.
“The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $ 9,340.8 million as of 23-Jun-2023,” the SBP said in a statement on Monday.
The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:
- Foreign reserves held by the SBP: $4,069.9 million
- Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks: $5,270.9 million
- Total liquid foreign reserves: $9,340.8 million
This was mainly attributed to realisation of $300 million proceeds of government commercial loan, it added.
