A Sikh community member was killed in Peshawar when unidentified men on a motorcycle opened fire at him in Peshawar’s Guldara area on Friday, the police said.

He was going home in a rickshaw when the assailants targeted him. This is the second attack on the community over the past 24 hours.

The police have claimed to have started an investigation into the murder from “different angles” after arriving at the crime scene.

A Sikh grocery store owner, Tirlok Singh, was injured after unidentified men sprayed bullets at him in Peshawar’s Rasheed Garhi area on Friday.

The CCPO has taken notice of the murder and ordered the city’s SP to submit a report within 24 hours.

He was grieved to hear about the attack on the Sikh community and added that the suspects would be brought to justice.
