Bails approved for 34 out of 180 applicants in Corps Commander House case

An anti-terrorism court in Lahore granted bail to 34 people accused of being involved in the violent protests of May 9 near the Corps Commander House in Lahore.

Bail petitions for 180 people had been filed in the anti-terrorism court. Judge Ahmad Buttar dismissed bail petitions of 146 applicants.

Among those whose bails were rejected were Khadija Shah and Fehmida Baig. PTI leader Yasmin Rashid’s bail was also dismissed due to a failure of the applicant to pursue the case. Aijaz Chaudhry’s bail petition was also disposed off after his lawyer withdrew the application.
