Pakistan Army has emerged as the seventh most powerful army in the world, according to the Military Strength Rankings 2023.

Pakistan Army has jumped up eight places within three years. Its ranking improved from 15th back in 2020 to 7th in 2023.

Pakistan Army had clinched 15th, 10th, and 9th positions in the Military Strength Rankings of 2020, 2021, and 2022 respectively.

For the 2023 Global Fire Power review, a total of 145 world powers were considered.

The top four positions – USA, Russia, China, and India – remained unchanged in the rankings. Bhutan’s army is last on the list at the 145th spot.

In terms of Islamic countries, Turkiye military is next in line in the 11th spot in the rankings.
