After months of speculations, Pakistan’s hybrid model was accepted by Asian Cricket Council and other playing nations, as announced in the press release on Thursday. However, now the big question is which city will host the games in Pakistan.

Firstly, as per the hybrid model, Pakistan will hoist four games while the rest of the tournament, including matches involving India will be played in Sri Lanka.

A total of 13 matches are scheduled to be played in the 50-over tournament from August 31 to September 17.

So for matches in Pakistan, Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium is favourite to host the matches, that is according to former captain Rashid Latif.

In his tweet, he wrote: “Pakistan is playing its two matches in Lahore, one against Nepal and the second match can be played against any team of Group B which includes Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan.”

The 2023 Edition will feature two groups, with two teams from each group qualifying for the Super Four stage. The top two teams from the Super Four stage will then face off in the final.
