The Lahore High Court will hear a petition against a ban on telecasting chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s speeches on media despite court orders.

The case was filed by the PTI chairman through Barrister Ahmed Pansota and will be heard by Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza.

The petition has argued that all political parties should be given equal air time based on general legal principle.

The petition also argues that the Lahore High Court had suspended a notification banning the the PTI chairman’s speeches from being aired on television and ordered PEMRA that no such ban can be placed. Still, the politican’s speeches are not being allowed on TV, the petition says.

The petition has aksed the court to enforce its earlier decision of suspending the media ban on Chairman PTI and initiating contempt proceedings against officers who have failed to implement the order.
