Most wanted terrorist Sanaullah Ghafari killed in Afghanistan

Most wanted terrorist Sanaullah Ghafari, the leader of the Afghanistan affiliate of ISIL (ISIS), has been killed in Afghanistan.

Ghaffari alias ‘Shahab al-Muhajir’, who was one of the biggest enemies of Pakistan, was killed in Kunar province.

He was highly wanted not only in Pakistan but internationally. He belonged to Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan. Ghaffari and his family migrated from India to Afghanistan.

The terrorist received religious education from the Ghaffari Seminary Kabul and participated in several attacks in Iran, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and even Afghanistan.

He was not just a leader of the banned terror outfit the Islamic State in Khorasan province but was also the mastermind and head of operations of all operations.

In December 2021, the United Nations, the United States, and the European Union declared him a global terrorist and put him on the sanctions list.

Moreover, the United States had placed a $10m reward for information leading to the location or identification of Sanaullah Ghafari.

He was involved in the suicide attack on the Pakistani embassy in Kabul and was also behind the Imambargah attack at Qissa Khwani Bazaar in Peshawar.

Moreover, he carried out a prison break in Nangarhar, Afghanistan, launched rocket attacks in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, an explosion at the shrine of Shah Chiragh in Iran, and a suicide attack on the Russian embassy.

Ghaffari was the main suspect in the Chinese national attack at the Lagoon Hotel, the Kabul Airport attack in Afghanistan, and many other such activities.
