Four children drown in KP’s Lower Dir
At least four children drowned in Khyber Pakhunkhwa’s Lower Dir on Friday, rescue officials told Aaj News. They were taking a bath in the Kumbar Ground river.
The four children were students of a Madrassah adjacent to the house of a person named Kamal, the Rescue 1122 officials added.
As soon as the incident was reported, the diving team took the children out of the river and shifted them to District Headquarters Hospital Laal Qila, where the doctors confirmed the death of the four children.
The deceased were identified as Abu Bakr, Fayyaz, Zaid, and Abdul Rehman. Their ages were said to be between 10 and 12.
