Army repels attack in Balochistan, two soldiers martyred
Inter-Services Public Relations said that two soldiers had embraced martyrdom in an aexchange of fire with terroriss in Balochistan on Thursday.
In a statement issued on Thursday, ISPR said that a security post had come under fire from a group of terrorists in in the Singwan area of of district Kech.
“Since troops on the Post were already alert and responded gallantly with all available weapons, a heavy fire exchange ensued,” the statement said.
While the attack was successfully repelled by the forces, two soldiers embraced martyrdom, ISPR said.
The two soldiers include 34-year-old Sepoy Hasnain Ishtiaq from Dera Ghazi Khan, and 27-year-old Inayat ullah from Jhal Magsi.
The forces then launched a cleanup operation, while maintaining contact with Iranian authorities to trace the terrorists involved in the attack and prevent them from escaping.
“Security Forces, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace and stability all along the borders in Balochistan,” ISPR said.
