An alleged call between PTI’s Yasmin Rashid and Lahore’s newly-reinstated CCPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar was leaked on Saturday. The call is apparently discussing his reinstatement.

The audio recording is one minute long and is apprently from Friday.

In the alleged call Rashid can be heard asking him if the court has issued orders and whether they will be issued the same day at all.

To this Dogar says that ‘his people’ are waiting to receive orders which will be issued after court timings.

Rashid then asks with a laugh if they (PTI) will make it through the night safely on Friday, an apparent reference to the government’s plan to arrest Imran Khan from Zaman Park.

To this Dogar replies that he hopes God will be gracious.

She also says that she has put the CCPO in a spot by asking the question, before adding that Imran Khan is ‘concerned’ over the matter of the CCPO’s resinstatement.

Dogar’s transfer by Punjab’s caretaker was reversed by the Supreme Court on Friday. He was reappointed as CCPO in July 2022 after being removed the previous year for failing to deal with the TLP’s march in 2021.
