Pakistan forex reserves increase over $3b
KARACHI: Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves increased by $276 million to $3,192.9 million in the week ending Feb 10, compared to $2,916.7 million in the previous week, the central bank said on Thursday.
Total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $8.70 billion as of February 10, 2023, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said in a tweet.
During the week ended Feb 3, the SBP reserves increased by $276 million to $3,192.9 million due to external debt repayments, the central bank said.
The development came on the day when the dollar fell by Re1 against the rupee in the inter-bank market.
