Watch: Pakistan’s USAR teams recue Turkey quake survivors
Pakistan’s Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams have rescued two survivors alive trapped under the rubble for more than 48 hours.
The teams are doing relief work in Adyıaman, which is located in southeastern Turkiye.
The video of their rescue work was shared by Pakistan Embassy Turkiye, who wrote USAR teams have evacuated two survivors alive, trapped under the rubble for more than 18 hours in Adyıaman.
“Our teams will keep doing everything possible to assist in rescue and relief.”
Earlier, at least 19 Pakistanis were relocated from the earthquake-hit Turkish city of Gaziantep to Adana, another city in Southern Turkiye, the Pakistan embassy in Turkey said on Wednesday.
The jolts also caused destruction in Adana but the city is closer to the port and away from the earthquake epicenter.
The Pakistani embassy said in a statement that it was working for the repatriation of the Pakistani nationals. They will be sent on a flight as soon as possible, it said in a statement.
The embassy has also released emergency contact numbers.
